WHAT EXACTLY IS BARRE?

Barre is a low impact, high-intensity workout designed to strengthen and tone the entire body. By fusing elements of ballet barre conditioning, pilates and yoga, barre is tough on muscles but kind on joints.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BARRE?

You will experience improved posture, increased definition in your arms and legs, a sculpted back, toned tum and a great booty! Class will also leave you feeling energised and more grounded.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR AND BRING TO CLASS?

We want you to be comfy. Wear something you will be comfortable moving in (i.e., leggings and a top). Bring your own yoga mat (I will have some spares at class, just send me a message if you require to borrow one) and a water bottle.

DO YOU OFFER A TRIAL MEMBERSHIP?

Yes, we offer a Free Trial Class where you can try out a class to see if barre is for you.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I ATTEND CLASS?

Consistency is always key! Attending barre class 2-3 times per week will typically see results in 2-4 weeks. But honestly, even if you can only make one class a week, I promise it will be worth it.

I HAVE NO PREVIOUS BALLET, YOGA OR PILATES EXPERIENCE.

You don't need any experience to attend barre class. Modifications are offered for all levels of fitness and abilities. You will absolutely be able to do barre.

I'M FEELING A LITTLE NERVOUS ABOUT ATTENDING CLASS FOR THE FIRST TIME.

Nerves are a completely normal part of life (especially if you're an introvert like me). I will take such great care of you and am more than happy if you want to pop in 10-15 minutes prior to class to meet me and see the space and settle in. I can also meet you at your car and walk in with you so you don't have to walk in alone. These are all things that make me feel more comfortable, so please reach out :)
And remember, nerves are the same as excitement just in a different outfit!

ARE MEN ABLE TO ATTEND?

Absolutely! Barre is a great workout for everybody, and all are welcome at JC Barre Flow.
